Central and Western District Promenade

Use this page as a guide to the Central Section around Lung Wo Road, not as permission to release a dog anywhere between Central and Sai Ying Pun. The fenced pet garden is the off-leash destination. On the connecting promenade, near Tamar and around the piers, use a short lead and watch for runners, cyclists, families and event crowds.

You can combine a play session with an on-leash harbour walk towards the Central Piers. Accessible toilets, a rain shelter and hand-washing facilities make it more practical than a bare dog run, but event set-up can temporarily narrow routes or close lawns.

The open harbour edge has little protection from midday heat. Bring water, test turf and paving, and favour early or late visits in summer. If your dog is noise-sensitive, check for concerts, fireworks arrangements or major waterfront events before travelling.
