Power Up Pet Sports Day at Coffee Hong Kong 2026: a dog-owner recap

What happened at the 6 April pet-sports special at AsiaWorld-Expo, which dogs suit an indoor race day, and what to check next time.

Hong Kong harbour atmosphere used for an indoor event-planning guide

Coffee Hong Kong 2026 ended with a pet-friendly Power Up Pet Sports Day on Easter Monday, 6 April at AsiaWorld-Expo. Participating dogs could enter timed activities and receive a race pack and participation certificate under the ticketed event programme.

It sounds playful, but an indoor race day is not a casual dog walk. The useful question is whether your dog enjoys the setup.

A good fit

Consider it for a healthy dog that can wait around other dogs, recover after excitement, take cues in a noisy hall and run on an unfamiliar surface. Practise short sprints, recall and settling on a mat before entering any competition.

Skip it for puppies without completed vaccinations, dogs recovering from injury, heat-stressed dogs after a long journey, or dogs that become frantic when others run. Winning is not worth rehearsing panic.

Plan the whole trip, not just the race

AsiaWorld-Expo adds transport time and very little spontaneous outdoor decompression. Confirm how dogs may travel on your chosen service, where toilet breaks are allowed, and whether the event requires a carrier between activity zones. Arrive early enough for the dog to settle before its slot.

Bring vaccination and licence records, water, a non-slip mat, waste bags, a spare lead and familiar rewards. Do not feed a large meal immediately before vigorous activity.

Source and next edition

The date and pet-sports format came from the official POPTICKET event listing. That listing applied to 2026 only. For any return, confirm the venue rules, race categories, veterinary conditions, refund policy and dog transport before booking.
