SPCA dog behaviour course on 3 October: what you’re booking
SPCA’s October course starts with a handlers-only theory lesson in Wan Chai, followed by a 75-minute home session. Check the time, fees and application steps.

SPCA’s current October–November schedule lists course F0008, taught in Chinese, beginning on Saturday, 3 October 2026. The first lesson runs from 3:00pm to 4:30pm in the fourth-floor classroom at the SPCA Hong Kong Centre, 5 Wan Shing Street, Wan Chai.
This is a two-part course, not a weekly obedience class:
- Lesson one: a handlers-only theory class in Wan Chai. Do not bring your dog.
- Lesson two: a 75-minute one-to-one practical session at the client’s home, arranged by appointment.
The published fee is HK$1,700 for members and HK$2,100 for non-members.
Who is the course for?
SPCA says behavioural problems can become more severe when they are mishandled or inappropriate training methods are used. The home session lets the instructor observe the dog’s and owner’s living habits, then work on practical ways to prevent the issue worsening. SPCA presents the course as suitable for first-time owners and people who want a more harmonious home life with their dog.
Before applying, give the training team an accurate account of the problem, including triggers and any bite history. If there is an immediate safety concern, ask SPCA whether this course or its separate behavioural consultation service is the appropriate route.
How to apply
Use SPCA’s online application form and upload your dog’s vaccination record. SPCA says places are limited and allocated first come, first served; successful applicants are contacted before payment.
